Generally, the first teeth to emerge are the middle ones, followed gradually by all the other milk teeth towards each end of the jaw. They will fall out to make way for the permanent teeth at the age of five or six.

Items you intend to give them to chew on can be placed in the fridge, after being carefully washed: the cold will relieve pain.
