“SLOVAKIA” Halusky

Ingredients
  • 500g potatoes
  • 200g pasteurised ewe’s milk cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of pasteurised milk
  • 70g diced smoked bacon
  • 500g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Preparation

Carefully wash the potatoes and finely grate them.

Put them in a large bowl along with 3 tablespoons of milk, the eggs and the flour. Season with salt and pepper.

Knead the mixture until you get a soft dough.

Roll out your dough into a sausage shape and cut into small chunks.

Boil the water in a saucepan and carefully plunge the dough balls into the water. Once they have risen to the surface, leave them to cook for another 5 minutes and then remove with a strainer spoon.

In a frying pan, carefully fry the diced bacon and remove excess fat with kitchen paper. Crumble the ewe’s milk cheese and fried bacon pieces over your dish. Serve and enjoy.
