“MIDDLE EAST” Dajaj Mahlous

Ingredients
  • 1 chicken
  • The juice of one lemon
  • 3 onions cut into rounds
  • 1 tablespoon of sumac
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Preparation
Slice and cut the chicken into pieces. In a large bowl, mix the chicken with the lemon juice, oil and spices. Pour your mixture into an oven dish and add the onion rounds. Cover your dish with aluminium foil and bake at 200°C for 1 hour. Turn the chicken pieces regularly. At the end of cooking, remove the aluminium foil and bake for a further 10 minutes.
