“MALI” Nanji

Ingredients
  • 1kg beef
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato puree
  • 5 tablespoons of oil
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered onions
  • 2 tablespoons of soumbala
  • 5 okras
  • 1 small chilli
  • 2 tablespoons of vermicelli
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Preparation

In a pot, fry the oil and then add the pieces of chopped meat, salt, pepper and a tablespoon of powdered onions.

Add a glass of water and simmer until it is all absorbed.

Then pour in the carefully washed and mashed tomato and tomato concentrate, and simmer.

Then pour in 2 litres of water and when the sauce starts to boil, add the rest of the powdered onions, soumbala and chopped okra. Simmer.

To finish, add the vermicelli and finely chopped chilli. As soon as the vermicelli is cooked, serve immediately with rice.
